Well done to those who did the night tracking masterclass, which was good fun, and impressive clients who found fresh roe deer tracks, and badger feeding sign that were minutes old.
Duncan and I were back up again at 4.30am to run a dawn masterclass. The class kicked off sharp at 5.00am, so that we could could cover some theory and be in exactly the right spot , at the right time for a bit of natures magical trick. It is an impressive show that moved some people.
It was well worth the early start, and having seen natures trick, we set off to find tracks. We were very luck, and some tracks and bird dynamics lead the group to a fresh stoat kill. The talks through the day were able to witness the progress of the kill, as scavenegers moved in, including fox.
Simon, did a great job with a talk about tracking at night.
