Yesterday, the evening basline changed and I noticed a massive shift of birds all heading in one direction. I grabbed my camera, knowing something was going down. Got on my bike and ended up cycling and running to get to the location. Sure enough, there had been a kill.
A sparrowhawk killed a wood pidgeon.
After I got my breathing back I managed to get some shacky footage. What really impressed me was , how accuratly our bird dynamics module on course matched the events. Rubber necking..by the other birds was so obvious I couldnt miss it. Literally flocks of birds were flying in. Just by watchig them I found the sparrowhawk, without having to hunt around.
I let him have his meal and returned to pick up the evidence for detailed examination.
Keep checking back for details.
