After last week I decided to get back to where I was skill wise, and get better than I have ever been. So Over the week, including a trip to London, I havnt stopped tracking. I tracked people on the London Underground, I Tracked in Oxford Street and South Kensington. I tracked people on the train. Slowly the skills are coming back and Im seeing more. Im seeing things that I have never noticed before. I noticed that shoe design trends have changed, which have had an effect on the mechanics of how people walk, and this changes certain features that I look for in a track.
More and more people are wearing sports shoes, some have curved soles and some are trainers. What I noticed is that when people step forward there is no heel strike, as they seem to place their feet, rather than throw their foot forward in a controlled fall.
Today, I did a long track on one person. The distance was 7.2kms, and at not time did I lose him.
Set backs can be turned to a positive outcome, and I always think of my favourite saying" Them that stick with it are them that win" Ranulph Feinnes.
