There is no greater pleasure in being able to track an animal, to understand it's movements, it's motivation and the effect it has within it's surroundings.
Shadowhawk specialises in animal tracking and has years of experience in teaching courses. It was originally founded by Max who is a specialist in wildlife and mantracking and author of Animal Tracks ID.
Max has both trained and tracked with some of the worlds “first nation trackers” including African, Native American and South American people.
You will not be able to pass through nature without feeling connected ever again. Max has heard people say that you should “respect the woods because you are only visiting”,….
he disagrees and says you are never a guest in your own home; you should feel at home in the woods.
Tracking gives an amazing insight to life, not only in the woods and nature, you will be amazed what you can track in town,work or home. During the course you will receive lots of practical tracking in the woods and some theory. To ensure that you get the most out of the courses every day has a full list of activities so a reasonable level of fitness is required and all the courses are mentally challenging!
Wildlife Tracking Courses are delivered at three levels; Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced. Shadowhawk also offers a Junior Tracker course for young people.
The Wildlife Tracking courses are held in Devon. During the courses you will, if you wish, have the opportunity to practice your bushcraft skills as we will be living in the woods for the duration of the course. Please Note: All

Search & Rescue Tracking
Shadowhawk offers a range of Search & Rescue courses for professional and voluntary organisations including Police Officers, First Responders and voluntary Search & Rescue groups.
