From a few subtle signs in the landscape, a broken twig, a stone overturned, or something inside the track which would go un-noticed to the un-trained eye are preciouse indicators to a tracker.
Shadowhawk is the original tracking school in the UK, we are passionate about tracking.and the only school offering tactical tracking courses. We are also very proud of our mantracking courses. We have wide range of tracking courses available. There are other schools that offer tracking courses and many of them have been trained by Ian Maxwell and his team of experienced instructors at Shadowhawk. Few of them are as specialised .
From tracking leopards in Namibia to bushcraft, survival, manhunting, forensics, wildlife filming or maybe just for fun, tracking is an essential skill . We are dedicated to wildlife tracking, mantracking and survival and for that reason, you would expect us to be good at what we do. Going by the testimonials from our clients, we are doing a good job. Ian Maxwell ( or Max as he is sometimes known) is an operational tracker, and trained and tracked alongside many nations in the wilderness, and The US Border Patrol, including the elite trackers of The Shadowwolves.
Shadowhawk has been commissioned to carry out tracking around the world, including The Iberian Lynx, The Yetti and Sumatran Rhino. We have been commissioned for hard hitting positive impact conservation training on Operation Reclaim in Brazil, and Operation Spiders Web in Africa. Both locations involved a high degree of wildlife tracking, mantracking, tactical tracking and bushcraft.
Our clients come all over the world to attend our courses at our National Tracking and Survival Centre in Devon, where we have training resources throughout the forest that are skill-specific.
Shadowhawks` heritage is from around the world, but the framework is based on our survival and tracking experience in Africa. We have designed our survival and tracking courses for each sector of our training.
Tracking: The Art of DetectionBut there is also a spiritual side to tracking, one rooted in the traditions of the Native American. On a weathered camouflage windbreaker, Nez wears the shoulder patch of the Shadow Wolves, a white-faced wolf with bared fangs, wearing two feathers, one black, one white. The white feather represents all the retired Shadow Wolves; the black, those who have died.
If you are new to tracking, whether it be mantracking, wildlife tracking, forensic tracking, or an experienced professional, our courses will give you a toolbox of skills to take home.
