Where are we based :
Our National Tracking and Survival Centre is based at Canonteign Falls, Englands highest waterfall in Devon. It is on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, and gives us lots of open territory. The location is aprroximatly 14 miles from Exeter and is easily accessible by road and public transport. The location is a mixture of woodland and the camp is just a few metres from some beautiful waterfalls and has all the conditions that we need to train in. We also have lots of teaching resources strategically paced throughout the wood for training .
Where Do we sleep?
During the wildlife courses in the UK, you will need to bring a tent, basher or hammock and your sleeping bag and sleeping mat. You are wild camping under the stars, in the woods, and you will be able to hear Englands Highest waterfalls only a few meters away as you go to sleep. Athough not encouraged, there are a number of excellent bed and breakfast establishments nearby.
For other courses please check with us for sleeping arrangements.

What are the catering arrangements:
All UK courses are self catering. You will need cooking and eating implements. There will be a large kettle with hot water for hot refreshments during breaks. We keep a big fire going and at meal times you are welcome to cook on the fire, which is covered with a grate for pots etc. Generally dried foods, pasta, etc seem to be the best choice. During tracking courses you will be busy, so I wouldnt recommend meals that need much preperation.
Boil in the bag type meals make ccoking and cleaning easier. A high fibre diet is recommended.
We provide clean drinking water from bottles. You will be issued with plenty water to keep you hydrated.
