I was out for a run yesterday and near the railway line I came across classic raptor spoor. It was like an aeroplane had been shot out of the sky. There was a very clear debris trail.
I could tell it was a mid air strike, because of the large amount of small feathers, caught in spiders webs which were a couple of meters off the ground.
On the ground there were bigger feathers, including one of the primaries. The primary was in good condition, and not worn out by the friction of flying. There were at least a couple of thousand clues, as to who, what, where and when.
I have collected all the clues, and we will re-create the scene during our tracking courses.
For now, though I am heading off to a TV development meeting in London.
You may think it devoid of wildlife and tracking fun, but the streets of London are always entertaining, especially if
