I have had a coupe of technical hitches posting on my blog and so I apologize it has been a while. So much has happened. The back to back Wildlife Tracking course was amazing. Those on the course worked hard at getting their skills up to a high level. We spent lots of time , with extra sessions on stalking and awareness.
By Sunday the crew were spotting feeding sign and the faintest of tracks in pine needles.
With that under their belt, they were left to track for a couple of hours.
They returned to camp just after dark, many of them having used feeding sign and ground spoor to locate a herd of fallow deer. One group tracked down a a red deer stag.
To say I was proud of their achievements would be an understatement, I was blown away.
I recorded many of them stalking, on the last day they all got very close to some rather black fallow.
Whilst doing her zizo, one of the students had a stag walk right up to her , and  then kicked her day pack.
Well done to everyone, it was a real pleasure .

Hi Iain, your website is amazing, and I saw you on TV the other week - brilliant! Hope you're well? Just wondered if you ever do courses in Scotland?
Thanks!
Susan (your neice!)
