Shadowhawk Tracking

Shadowhawk Tracker & Specialised Defence Training School was set up by Ian Maxwell to pass on the ancient lost skill of tracking, survival and defence.

From a few subtle signs in the landscape, a broken twig, a stone overturned or something inside the track which would go unnoticed by the untrained eye, are preciouse indicators to a tracker.

Ian has tracked alongside many of the finest trackers from the four corners of the globe. He has tracked with Navaho, Apache, San Bushmen,Shangaani, Australian Aboriginals, and people from the jungles of the Amazon and Borneo. He has a found strong bond that links all people, from all walks of life....tracking.

Within every man ,woman and child lurkes a tracker. It goes back to when we needed to track to provide food. Some trackers learned that not only could they use tracks to be a providor, but they could use them to be a protector.
They could get more information from a track than from seeing the animal. Tracking using intuition, coupled with some simple techniques is what we specialise in.
These skills have mostly been lost, but for a few people.
Ian has made it his lifelong scholarship to learn and bring out the tracker in every person. He has spent his lifetime learning and passing on skills. The coures are delivered in a friendly light-hearted manner.
Now, with the help of the Shadowhawk team we are doing our best to revive the skills, so nearly lost.
